"In Living Color" was the Manifest exhibition for illustrators in 2022. This exhibition gave each artist a color that they had to highlight in their work, the content was up to the artists. I chose the color white and decided to depict a girl suffering from Hanahaki Disease. This stems from a Japanese wives tale where if a person has unreciprocated feelings for another they will violently cough up flowers that grow in their lungs. This image was displayed from the windows of Columbia College Chicago's student center on 754 S Wabash Ave.
