This character design project had many specs, but overall I was tasked with creating an elf from the 1700's based off a culture from a list: I chose Germany. The Republic of Germany during the 1700's was having a transitional period where between that of The Holy Roman Empire and Prussia. These times usually have a large military presence which inspired his clothing and to make it more German I added flora embroidery resembling that of lederhosen.
